Super Swinger -- Sánchez Slams 5 Hits Friday, May 22nd , 2026 At Whitaker Bank Ballpark, Rubén Sánchez of the Lexington Legends put on a hitting clinic. He banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and mauled the Rome Hammers pitching staff, but Lexington still came up short on the scoreboard. The Legends went home with the 10-9 loss, in spite of a standout 5-hit performance from their center fielder. "Hey, it's great to get that many hits in a game, but it would have been nice to win the game, too," Sánchez said in the postgame interview. Rubén Sánchez singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off José Ruíz in the 8th and doubled in the 9th.
