Injury Brings Season to End for Chapman

Chris Chapman has to call it a season. The Hagerstown Suns reliever learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 06/06/2026 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 11 months.
The team will likely place Chapman on the injured list today.
Chapman has compiled an ERA of 1.37 so far this season, winning 0 games with 1 loss and 3 saves. In 15 relief appearances he has hurled 19.2 innings, yielded 21 hits and struck out 14. Opposing hitters have batted .269 against Chapman.
