SAL's Best Player Named Monday, August 3rd , 2026 The South Atlantic League has named its Top Player of the Week. The honor went to Ed Samuels, left fielder of the Greenville Drive. In an extraordinary hitting display, he belted out hits at a .500 pace to win the award. Samuels went 11-for-22 for the week, totaled 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 4 times. Samuels is hitting .259 for the season with 4 home runs, 26 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He has 62 hits in 239 at-bats and played in 68 games. |
