Best Starter Chosen by South Atlantic League Tuesday, September 1st , 2026 Over the past month Stephen Millar has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the South Atlantic League. He proved all that and now he's been named August's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Rome Hammers posted 6-1 mark and a 3.76 ERA. In 7 starts he tossed 55 innings, permitted 55 hits and fanned 51 batters. On the year, Millar has worked 217 innings with 191 strikeouts en route to a 17-11 record and 3.57 ERA. |
