Tuesday, September 22nd , 2026
The Charleston faithful were cheering in the streets, and Delmarva fans wiping away the tears, after the RiverDogs won the Round 2 at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park today.

The RiverDogs clinched it by knocking off the Shorebirds 2-1 to take their 1st South Atlantic League crown. Charleston took the series 4-1.

"This club never gave up all year long," Charleston manager Brian Rupp told the press. "They believed they could win the title and they did."

On the way to the Round 2 title, Charleston compiled a 71-67 won-loss record and finished second in the Southern Division.

"We just didn't play well enough to win," Shorebirds manager Tripp Keister said. "We just didn't make the big plays like they did."
