Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Sunday, July 28th , 2024 Walt Ellis of the Baltimore (DSL) Orioles 2 and Elijah Beard of the Texas (DSL) Rangers will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 8 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Orioles 2-Rangers game at Texas Rangers Complex. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Ellis and Beard will begin serving them soon. Currently Ellis has 2 home runs and a .354 batting average. This season, Beard has fashioned a 0-0 mark and 11.25 ERA in 12 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .333 against him and he has logged 10 strikeouts. |
