Ruíz Boosts Hit Streak to 25 Games Tuesday, July 29th , 2025 The number just keeps getting higher. Detroit (DSL) third baseman Jesús Ruíz has now extended his hitting string to 25 games. He did it today with 1 hit in 4 at-bats as the Detroit (DSL) won the game, 3-2, over the Colorado (DSL) Rockies at Detroit Tigers Complex. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Colorado (DSL) manager Pedro Mega said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Jesús Ruíz doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. For the season, Ruíz has hit .540 with 3 home runs and 25 RBIs. He has played in 32 games and scored 22 times. |
