Wednesday, August 20th , 2025
The Seattle (DSL) Mariners were almost helpless in their 3-0 loss to the Texas 2 (DSL) Rangers 2 and hurler Randy Little. Little kept the Mariners confused all game, spinning a 5-hit shutout.
"Tip your hat to Little," Seattle (DSL) manager Ruben Escalera said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."
The 17-year-old right-hander had no walks and 5 strikeouts in a strong performance.
"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Little said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."
Currently Little is batting .368 with 2 home runs and 11 RBIs.
