It was a race right down to the wire, but Detroit (DSL) has captured the crown - its 2nd in franchise history - on the final day of the season. " San Pedro de Macoris Division champs sounds great right about now," said third baseman Jesús Ruíz. "The only thing better is League Series champions. That's still the ultimate goal, we can't lose sight of that." The division-leading club has compiled a 44-24 record and will be looking to win the 1st Dominican Rookie League championship in team history. |
