Meyer Torches Mets 2 for 5 Hits Monday, September 22nd , 2025 The Baltimore (DSL) Orioles 1 stopped the New York N 2 (DSL) Mets 2 by a score of 24-11 at Baseball City Complex, with the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Jimmy Meyer. The 22-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Meyer said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Meyer did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Mets 2. "Not much that I can say," offered New York N 2 (DSL) manager Phillip Wellman. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Jimmy Meyer singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
