5-Hit Barrage by Hill Friday, August 14th , 2026 All game long, DSL's Jeff Hill was rattling the walls at Las Palmas Complex and banging out base hits against the DSL Diamondbacks. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Mariners had a win, 16-4. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 19-year-old left fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Jeff Hill singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jeff Finley in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
