DSL Halts Muñóz's Hitting Steak Saturday, August 29th , 2026 The DSL Athletics pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Manny Muñóz hitless in 4 at-bats during the club's 5-3 victory over the DSL Red Sox at Juan Marichal Complex. The disappointing performance ended a 21-game hitting streak for the shortstop. "I'm a little down right now," Muñóz said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." For the season, Muñóz is currently batting .331 with 2 home runs and 11 RBIs. In 35 games he has reached base at a .355 rate and scored 9 runs to date. |
