Red Sox Farrell Strikes out 18 Twins
Monday, September 28th , 2026
Everything was working for Chris Farrell at El Toro Complex. He had the perfect delivery. The ball was moving. The curveball was working.
In an unforgettable performance, the 22-year-old Farrell fanned 18 Twins and sparked the 12-1 DSL Red Sox victory over DSL. He left Twins hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it.
"I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said DSL manager Mauricio Gonzalez. "His location and command were really something."
In addition to collecting 18 strikeouts over 8 innings, Farrell allowed 3 hits and 1 walk in a superlative outing.
"I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Farrell said with a smile.
In 11 starts this season, Farrell has picked up 2 wins while suffering 4 losses. He has pitched 67.2 innings, allowed 65 hits, struck out 105 and posted a 3.19 ERA.
