The Detroit Lions are reportedly looking to deal former 1st round pick QB J.C. DiMatteo.
The 23rd overall pick in the 2019 draft out of Michigan, DiMatteo is seen by league scouts as a “good” QB and is still only 24 years old.
No word yet on what the Lions are seeking in return, but it sounds as though GM Mike Lowe–who’s now had multiple stints with the team–is comfortable continuing on with QB Matthew Stafford, a former 1st round pick himself (#1 overall in 2009).
DiMatteo was drafted while Lowe was on a leave of absence from the team, so it’s seems as though there isn’t much of a bond between quarterback and GM in this case.
