SeaWolves Send Altoona Home with 8-3 Loss
Erie SeaWolves starter Junior Taylor pitched a strong game against the Altoona Curve at Jerry Uht Park, leading the SeaWolves to victory, 8-3. The Southern Division-leading SeaWolves are 34-19.

The Curve had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the SeaWolves going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Rob Simard came to the plate. Simard hit a grand slam home run on a 0-1 fastball from Altoona hurler Bruno Dennis. It was Simard's 2nd home run of the year.

"That was not our best effort," said Altoona skipper David Ortiz.
