Marauders Rally to Tally 3-2 Win
|
Bradenton Marauders starter Joe Miller was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Daytona Tortugas, 3-2. In 7.1 innings, Miller surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. José Alou, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities.
Lou McCullough delivered a big hit for Bradenton. The designated hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Marauders ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
"Tough loss," said Daytona manager Tracy McGrady. "But we'll learn from it."
Bradenton is 28-35 and Daytona, with the loss, 29-34.
