Fans who congregated at Joker Marchant Stadium were treated to extra-inning drama.

The St. Lucie Mets faced a tough opponent in Lakeland pitcher Sean Bevins, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Joker Marchant Stadium by a final score of 4-3. Bevins went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. The winner in relief was Mitch Smith. He is now 1-1. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3 innings.

Noel Hogan had a direct impact on the outcome. Hogan contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 11th inning to put St. Lucie up, 3-2.

Hogan told a St. Lucie Chronicle reporter that he felt "like dancing the hula" after the win.

St. Lucie leads the FSL South by 4½ games.
