Mets Turn Back Charlotte, 9-7

The game between St. Lucie and Charlotte is in the books, despite a little rain.
The St. Lucie Mets faced a tough opponent in Charlotte pitcher Héctor Molina, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Tradition Field by a final score of 9-7. Molina went 5 innings and allowed no runs. Mitch Smith was credited with the save, his 10th in 12 tries.
Reggie Turner hit a bases-clearing double off Manny Fernández in the bottom of the second, which put the Mets in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Turner had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Mets manager Jorge Hernandez.
The win elevated the Mets to 48-32.
