Valle Raps Augusta for 5 Hits Tuesday, June 30th , 2026 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Juan Valle -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage and sparkled on the diamond at State Mutual Stadium, but the performance lost a little luster when the Hammers were downed, 20-12, by the Augusta GreenJackets. After his glittering performance, the Rome first baseman told the press that he "just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat." His batting theory paid dividends today as he slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. "I just wish we had added a win in the record book, too," Valle said. Juan Valle hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off José Flores in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
