Dickey 3-for-4, Mets Move to 10-5

Getting a good performance from center fielder Jerry Dickey, the St. Lucie Mets defeated the Bradenton Marauders, 9-5. Dickey went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Mets. José Guillén nailed down his 1st save. For the Marauders, the loss makes them 6-9.
In the top of the third, St. Lucie designated hitter Bob Short had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Short stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-0, St. Lucie. For the game, he was 2-5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
