The St. Lucie Mets weathered a fine game by Fort Myers right fielder Julius Dupree to upend the Miracle, 7-6, at Tradition Field. Dupree was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The loss drops the Miracle to 6-11.

Bob Short, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2022 draft, helped out the St. Lucie cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1-1. He drove in 2 runs.

"In this profession, you've got to put the good and the bad behind you quickly," Fort Myers skipper Tony Thomas said.
